Badam Milk

Badam Milk is surely a nutritious drink that you can make at home. It surely takes less than 15 mins make this milk. A good source of protein and calcium.

Here is how I make this Badam Milk :

Ingredients :

Badam - 10 or 15 pieces
Milk : 1 cup
Saffron - little ( 2 or 3 strands)
Sugar : 1/4 cup

Method

First soak the badam for like 2 hours.
Drain the water and make it into a paste by grinding it in a blender.
You can add the milk now and grind it well.
Meanwhile, Soak you saffron in little cold milk and keep it ready
Take a pan and pour this mixture and bring it to a boil just so much that the raw smell of badam must have gone. It's not necessary to keep boiling it for a long time. It must be done by around 4 or 5 mins max.

But keep stirring it continuously so that it does not get burnt at the bottom.

After the raw smell has gone, add the saffron and the sugar and give it a mix.

Now bring it to a boil again and switch off the stove. Allow it to cool completely.

Now pour it in a glass and refrigerate it.

Serve when it is cold.

It 's delicious !

I took this picture before I could get it chilled in a fridge so the colour of the saffron was not showing.
But after sometime. The flavour and colour of the saffron was well blended with this Badam Milk.
